Phase 5: Exterior

The final phase of a Van Mart build: exterior protection and utility once the interior conversion (Phases 1–4) is complete — bumpers, tire carriers, roof racks, and step/entry hardware for daily use and off-road capability.

What's included in this phase

  • Bumpers & armor — Baja and Defender front bumpers, plus a skid plate for underbody protection.
  • Rear access — rear tire carriers, rear steps, and a mule carrier for spare gear.
  • Roof racks — Sprinter and Transit Scout roof racks for cargo capacity.
  • Step & entry — side steps for daily entry/exit.

This is the last phase — once exterior hardware is installed, the build is complete. Previous: Phase 4: Cabinetry.
