Exactly what I was looking for!

I first came across Vanspeed at the Sand Sports Show - and that’s when I saw the mule system. I knew then I had to have it. I was impressed not only by the aesthetic but the build quality and modularity aspect. I started with the driver side tire carrier and ladder and during install I had Vanspeed add the passenger side equipped with a storage box, shovel and propane tank holder. I’m glad I went with the full system, it’s an awesome way to keep my extra gear outside of the van and accessible when needed. 5 stars - highly recommend!

Nice Rack! (Mule Tire Carrier)

Well I just installed the tire rack for my sprinter and love the Van Speed Product. The rack is well made with a black textured powder coating. All of the hardware is stainless steel with locking nuts. This being my first installation I do have a few pointers for the next newbie- the anti-seize comes in a small packet, use it sparingly. You need enough for all bolts and it has the tendency to get everywhere with little effort. There is a sweet spot in the amount and you want to use it or you will likely have bolts seize before fully tightened. My suggestion is that you bolt the tire carrier bracket on before mounting the carrier to the van. I also purchased the ladder and would do the same for this too. The access to the back of the carrier gets tight if already installed on the van. There is also a horizontal support that bolts on to the carrier for the tire. There are slotted holes for adjustment depending on the tire size. If the slots don't perfectly align start will bolting the side toward the door handle first. Once these bolts are started you can finesse the other side into position with a little pressure while still being assembled on the ground. Finally, if the Mercedes emblem hits the bracket from your tire carrier, reach out to Duran. He is a wealth of knowledge and can hook you up with a spacer plate. Happy Van Building,

Sprinter Mule Carrier

Pretty happy with this investment. Mule works well and enabled moving the tire to the back door for a water tank install.
