Collection: Phase 1 - Basics
Phase 1: Basics — Insulation, Sound Deadening & Ventilation
Phase 1 is the first step in any Sprinter, Transit, or ProMaster conversion: prep the van's shell before any wall panels, flooring, or cabinetry go in. Insulating and sound-deadening the bare metal now is far easier than retrofitting it later, and getting ventilation planned early avoids cutting into finished walls or ceilings down the line.
What's included in this phase
-
Insulation — 3M Thinsulate insulation to regulate cabin temperature and reduce condensation against the van's metal shell.
-
Sound deadening — butyl-rubber sound deadening mats that damp road noise and body panel vibration before flooring goes down.
-
Flooring — slip-resistant LONSEAL Lonridge flooring, installed over the insulated/sound-deadened subfloor.
-
Ventilation — a roof-mounted vent fan for airflow and moisture control, best planned and cut in before ceiling panels are installed.
Once Phase 1 is complete, move on to Phase 2: Power Systems.
