Crafted from durable lightweight fiberglass, these capsules add over 10 inches of vital head-to-toe sleeping area. Their aerodynamic design and precise body fitment ensure a seamless integration with your Sprinter van. Perfect for the do-it-yourself enthusiast or the seasoned professional installer, these capsules are designed for a straightforward setup, ensuring you're ready for the road with ease and comfort.
Included with your purchase of the Transit Capsules are the gel coated driver & passenger capsules, Sika Flex urethane, as well as all the necessary hardware for installation.
If you order the “Window Included” variant a pair of 1033 sliding Bunk Windows will be included with your purchase as well.
Transit Capsules are only available with window cutouts. We currently do not offer panel versions.

Phoenix Coating helps protects against dents, scratches and off road pin striping, while staying easy to clean.

Do Transit Capsules require cutting?
Yes. Installing Transit Capsules requires cutting the factory exterior body panel of the Ford Transit so the capsule units can be mounted and sealed to the vehicle. This modification allows the capsule to extend outward from the van wall, creating additional sleeping width inside the van.
How tall can someone be and still sleep sideways in a Ford Transit with capsules?
With Transit Capsules installed on both sides of the van, the interior sleeping width expands to roughly 78–80 inches, allowing many people up to approximately 6’4”–6’6” tall to sleep east-to-west across the van instead of diagonally.
Can Transit Capsules be installed as a DIY project?
Experienced van builders and fabricators can install Transit Capsules themselves, but professional installation is recommended to ensure proper cutting, sealing, and alignment with the vehicle body.
Do Transit Capsules affect insulation or interior finishing?
No. Transit Capsules integrate with standard insulation strategies and interior wall finishing used in camper van conversions. Builders can insulate and finish the capsule interior the same way they would the rest of the van walls.
