About Bossi Vans, Rooted in Riverside, Inspired by Excellence
My name is Dave Gurrola ( owner/ Founder) I was born and raised in Riverside, California—a city that embodies the perfect balance of history, culture, and accessibility. Smack in the heart of Southern California, Riverside is centrally located—just an hour from the beaches, an hour to the mountains, and close to everything else that makes California special. In the early 1900s, Riverside was once the wealthiest city in the United States, thanks to its booming citrus industry where I actually spent much of my childhood working in those groves. Today it is rich in history which is pretty rad.
The Journey of Bossi Vans
My journey into van building started with a challenge. As a former general contractor specializing in kitchen and bathroom remodels, I wasn’t initially interested in building vans. But when a friend encouraged me to try, I created my first van with the intention of selling it. Once my family and I used it, we fell in love with the van lifestyle—and the rest is history.
At Bossi Vans, we do things differently. We’re a small, family-owned business, and every van we build is 100% custom. We take the time to sit down with each client to learn about their personality, lifestyle, and ambitions. This collaborative approach ensures that every detail—from color choices to layout design—aligns perfectly with their vision. My background in remodeling taught me how to maximize space and create efficient, functional designs that look great and work seamlessly.
We’ve been building vans full-time since 2020, and what sets us apart is our unwavering attention to detail and dedication to quality. Our clients often become like family, and we pride ourselves on providing a level of service you won’t find with larger companies. If one of our past clients calls me at 10 PM with a question or concern, I’ll answer—that’s the Bossi Vans difference.

We also love their capsules, interior trim, and rear steps, which not only simplify our builds but elevate the overall experience for our clients.

Every day in the shop is filled with laughter—whether it’s Christian and Gavin roasting each other, or them making fun of me for always wanting to work out or for telling random people that I play with fire (no pun intended). It’s all in good fun and keeps the energy light while we work on serious projects.
Just the other day, we were talking about whether we should install a Dukes of Hazzard horn on one of the vans. We'll see...
