Builder of the Month - Adventurebumss

Builder of the Month - Adventurebumss

Meet Candace and Eric from Adventurebumms.

Their conversions are designed, handcrafted, and installed by true van-life enthusiasts.  As a small company, they do the design and build personally, which allows them to ensure that their customers receive the very best van conversion possible; and since all their conversion work is custom, the options are endless.

Let's learn more about them in July's Builder of the Month feature.

Where are you from and what is special about the area?

We live in Grass Valley CA, known for its outdoors with lots of hiking trails!

When did you first realize that you wanted to become a camper van builder?

After living in SoCal and building our own van to go full time! Eric's skills in woodworking showed and we then decided to start the business!

What sets you apart from other camper van builders?

What sets us apart from other van builders, is we have personal experience with van life and background in construction so we were taught a lot of helpful skills in that industry!

What Vanspeed products do you like best, and why?

Our favorite product would be the Vanspeed capsules because of their sleek, rugged design! Second would be the Vanspeed running boards because of their strength and off road design!

What advice would you like to share with other builders and/or people embarking on a DIY project?

Some advice I would give DIYers would be to never rush projects and enjoy each step as your vision comes to life!

How did you come up with your company name?

Candace came up with the name! We loved adventuring when living in our van and the two "SS" at the end we said was to tie in that it was the two of us.

Please share anything else you’d like to add… a joke, a funny van name, a ritual around your shop, etc…

A ritual we like to do is after every full build we do we give the client merch and fresh eggs from our chickens or fruits/veggies from the garden!
