Let's learn more from Tim the Owner/Founder...
Where are you from and what is special about the area?
I was raised in South Lake Tahoe and eventually became a bit of a west coast mutt, living in SoCal, NorCal, Oregon and even the Baja for a spell.
When did you first realize that you wanted to become a camper van builder?
I was in the last mile delivery business, and owned a fleet of 25 Ram Pro Masters that did B to B deliveries. Covid hit. I still had van payments but no deliveries. I pivoted and did a full transition to van builds with many of my same employees from my original business. That transitioned into mobile window service, installation and distribution for vans.
What sets you apart from other camper van builders?
First and foremost, we're mobile. We do our installs in our customer's driveway, or at their work. Second; because we stock all of our products in volume, we're quick. Typical turnaround time for our customers is less than 3 days (72 hours). Finally, our pricing is aggressive. We offer a great product and service at a good value.

What Vanspeed products do you like best, and why?
Easy; Vanspeed Capsules. We install 3-4 a month, and people love the before after in just one day. Vanspeed's Capsules have a great ergonomic design that really adds to the overall look of the van. Vanspeed Capsules are a great addition to any van. As most builders and some DIY'ers already know (the rest will soon find out), you're fighting millimeters, creating any extra space in your rig makes a world of difference.

How did you come up with your company name?
Seemed to be a great fit for my niche. Pretty clear what we do.
Please share anything else you’d like to add… a joke, a funny van name, a ritual you have, etc...
There's not much better than seeing a customer's reaction when the hole is already cut, and you say 'sure hope this works!' Still makes me laugh to this day.
